The header contains the name and address of the recipient and the body contains the message. TO send a mail one must have their E-Mail Address. E-MAIL ADDRESS

To send and receive mails,one need to have e-mail address. The e-mail address works similar as our postal address or phone number. While sending an e-mail, we enter the e-mail address(s) of the recipient(s) so that the computer knows where to send it.

An e-mail address consists of two parts,separated by the @ ('at') symbol. An e-mail address does not contain spaces. E.g, panjiyaratech@gmail.com.  It consists of two parts:-

User Name: It is the name of a person's account, which can be an actual name or any name.

Domain Name: It is the location of the person's account on the Internet separated by a period (.) and then type of organisation is mentioned.

For examples:- panjiyaratech -   user name

                       gmail.com -  Domain name & Domain Extension

There are many sites on the Internet which provides free e-mail facility. The popular sites are: www.yahoo.com, www.gmail.com, www.hotmail.com.

Now I will tell you that How you can send e-mail in very easy way as it is very easier to do so. You can do it in your mobile phone as well as in your computer. To send e-mail or receive e-mail we must follow these steps:-

To send or receive e-mils, we have to first log into our e-mail account by visiting its website and entering our username and password. If you are using in your mobile phone then by the default it is installed or else you can install by google play store and then log in by using username and password.

To write a mail someone we have to click on COMPOSE option. It will open a new  window wherein we can type the address of the person, subject of the mail and the text in the mail. please note that you can also send the same mail to multiple people by typing their e-mail address separated by commas. 

After composing an e-mail, click on the SEND button on the toolbar.

There are many options displayed on mail that sign the different information lets us see some of them:-

INBOX: It displays information about all the mail received by us. To read any mail, click on it. The mail will be displayed in the window.

REPLY: This option is displayed on opening any mail. It is used to reply the e-mail. We can simply type in our reply and click on SEND button.

GROUPS: We can create groups wherein we can group and store one type of contacts. E.g, 'Family' with e-mail address of family members, 'Friends' with e-mail addresses of friends, 'Office' with e-mail addresses of office colleagues, etc. by following this steps you can create your e-mail group in very easy way. creating groups of e-mail contacts is very easy and interesting:-

  1. On the side pane, click on contacts.
  2. Click on NEW GROUP and enter the new group name in the dialog box.
  3. Click on OK.
  4. You will find the new group added in side pane.

CONTACTS/ ADDRESS BOOK: Once you start using e-mail, you will have so many contacts that would be very difficult to remember their e-mail addresses. Fortunately, every e-mail program provides an address book where we can store the e-mail addresses. To add a contact follow the steps:-

  1. Click on Contact.
  2. Select the checkbox of the address to be added.
  3. Click on ADD TO "MY CONTACT".
  4. Click on ADD.
  5. The new contact will be saved and added to "My Contact".

LOGOUT/ SIGNOUT: Click on this button, once you have finished reading or sending the e-mails.

Advantages of E-mail

  1. The cost of sending an electronic message is nominal.
  2. The message are sent and received instantly.
  3. E-mails never get lost and do not reach at the wrong destination.
  4. E-mail allows us to be in touch with the people who are staying far away.
  5. We can attach pictures, videos, sounds, to our e-mails and send it to anyone.
  6. We can read, print , forward, reply or delete the received messages.
