We live in modern tech age of information which is dependent upon technology. It makes our life more easier than before and also makes everything possible. Technology is tools or machine or any scientific equipment that may be used to solve any real world problem. It can be both material and immaterial that is created by the application of mental and physical effort in order to achieve some value that is come in use in near future. In present day almost all work as well as human being somehow directly or indirectly depends upon technology. They perform their work with simpler way with the help of different gadgets or electronic appliances. The living standard becomes more easier but as we know that “A coin has two faces” in similar way there is some good as well as bad impact on human life i.e they fully depend upon technology. No doubt technology plays a vital role in any field but excess of everything is bad.   “Technology dependence” is psychology parlance is more apt than ‘Technology addiction’. Without technology a person cannot feel as a complete in their life. Now let’s think, to understand the intensity of technology dependency, ask yourself or your friend to spend a day without his or her gadget i.e mobile phone, Laptop etc. Response might be yes I can, just like any other addicted person would give if confronted with the same question. But in reality, one cannot spend even an hour if mobile phone is switched off, or internet is down, or computer is hanged.

There is no denial cell phones, laptops and other personal electronic gadgets help us to connect with our family and  friends instantly in this busy life. Working parents in today’s busy lives manage everything so easily with the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Due to this technology  every person connected with each  other as well as makes new friend all around the world. But certainly these devices are negatively  influencing our  relationship also. Imagine a day without cell phone in your hand or television at your home. Actually these have become an indispensable part  of   our lives that we cannot imagine such things. one of the greatest advances in modern technology has been the invention of computers. they are widely used in industries and in universities. Now there is hardly any sphere of Human life where computers have not been pressed into service of man. We are heading fast towards the day when computer will be as much part of man's daily life as a telephone or  a calculator. computer are capable of doing extremely complicated work in all branches of learning. They can solve the most complex mathematical problems or put thousands of unrelated facts in order. These machines can be put to varies uses. For instance, they can provide information on the best way to prevent traffic jams. This whole process by which machines can be used to work for us has been called 'automation'. In future 'automation' may enable human being to enjoy more leisure than they do today. The coming of automation is bound to have important social consequences.

Technology is changing at the speed of light. It becomes more advanced day to day, After every few month or so an old product is replaced by its new version which is claimed to be faster and smarter. Think a day at office without internet connection. Though you will be happy for sure and wander here and there without work but at same time you feel something incomplete. There is a drastic difference in your and your kids life which is just a one generation apart. In older times children used to play every morning with their friends and makes fun physically as well as mentally but now a days most of the children busy with their video game, cell phones as well as laptops. Those evening games after school, watching cartoons or movies just on Sundays, socializing with friends are no longer a part of life. More than 75% kids play indoor games on computers or smart phones or other personal electronic devices and watch TV. Some years ago a expert on automation, Sir Leon Bagrit, pointed out that it was a mistake to believe that these machines could 'think'.There is no possibility that human being will be "controlled by machines". Though computers are capable of learning from their mistakes and improving on their performances, they need detailed instructions from  human being to operate. They can never, as it were, lead independent lives or "rule the world" by making decisions of their own.

Sir Leon said that in future, computers would developed which would be small enough to carry in the pocket. Ordinary people would then be able to use them to obtain valuable informtion. Computers could be plugged into a national network and be used like radios. For instance, people going on holiday could  be informed about weather conditions. car drivers can be given alternatives routes when there are traffic jams. It will  also be possible to make tiny translating machines. This will enable people who do not share a common language talk to each other without any difficulty or to ready foreign publications.

Technology made our life easier. No doubt it helps more in education also that provides online classes which is beneficial for students. But young generation can be called addicted or completely dependent upon technology. They use all their free life surfing net for entertainment or information. So, certainly we are addicted to the computers, Internet and technology. Gadgets have become an integral part of our lives. But excess of everything is bad and this is applicable to this situation as well. We must give ourselves a break from all gadget at least once a week or so. We must it in right way that fulfill the requirement of people without become addict of it.
